PATH OF KNOWLEDGE

Those who perform selfless service obtain the nectar of knowledge (or Jnaana), in due course of time, as a result of their sacrifice and attain eternal Brahman. (4.31)

Acquiring of spiritual knowledge is superior to any other material activity such as austerity and charity, because, spiritual knowledge is the goal and the end result of Karma-yoga. (4.33)

Acquire this knowledge by sincere inquiry and service to a Self-Realized guru, and the faith in guru, god, and the scriptures. The  wise who have realized the truth will give you Jnaana. (4.34)

As the fire reduces wood to ashes, similarly, the fire of Jnaana reduces one's all accumulated Karma, the root cause of soul's transmigration, to ashes and one is freed from the cycles of repeated birth and death, O Arjuna. (4.37)

The spiritual knowledge is automatically revealed when one's mind and intellect become purified by Karma- yoga. Karma-yoga leads one to Jnaana, the supreme purifier. (4.38)

CHAPTER SUMMARY: Gives the purpose of the incarnation of God in human form such as Ramakrishna, Buddha, Mahaaveer, Moses, Christ, Muhammad, Nanaka, and many others. Describes the nature and the practice of NKY; and the supremacy of Jnaana, that cuts the bonds of Karma, in the process of God-realization.
