un-controlled mind steals away the intellect as the storm takes away
a boat on the sea from its destination. (2.67).
Always perform your duty to the best of
your abilities and without any personal selfish motive or attachment
to the results. One can attain God by Seva, the selfless service to
humanity, because it awakens the dormant spiritual (or Kundalini)
power within us. (3.19).
Likes and dislikes for material objects
and sensual pleasures remain in our senses. Let no one come under
the grip of likes and dislikes, because, they are two
great stumbling blocks on the path of God-realization. (Likes and
dislikes are destroyed when one discovers the worthlessness of
material pleasures, and develops detachment for it after the onset
of Jnaana). (3.34).
