| There are important
festivals at this place besides all the usual Vaishnava festival days. The Kalyana of the
Lord is celebrated for ten days in the month of Phaiguna every year from Suddha Diwiteeya
to Suddha Dwadasi. In these ten days, thousands of pilgrims flock in endless stream to
Yadagiri and it sometimes happens that they have to lodge themselves in the fields under
the trees for want of accommodation. All the religious ceremonies and festivals are done
according to the Pancharatra system of the Agamas. The management of the temple is now
under the control of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which functions through an
Executive Officer, and a Board of Trustees. |
