Sevekari
(Sevekari). . One who performs such service.
Shad-ripu (Sad-ripu). . The six enemies of man viz, love greed, lust, pride, jealousy and
anger.
Shakini (Sakini). . A female Gana of Shiva.
Shakta (Sakta). . An Order devoted to the worship of Shakti. A person belonging to such an
Order.
Shakti (Sakti). . The goddess as the ultimate principal underlies the world.
Shankh (Sakkha). . A conch.
Shejghar (Sejaghara). . Shej is a bed, from it, shejghar is a room housing the bed,
bed-room.
Shesha (Sesa). . The divine cobra on whose hood rests the earth according to Hindu
mythology.
Shraddha (Sraddha). . The memorial service for ones parents or near relatives.
Shukla (Sukla). . Literally white, as applied to a fortnight it means the fortnight in
which the moon is growing. |
