THE DAYS OF AURANGZEB

One such stone was found on the left side of the chandrashila; the other, in one of the steps of the northern side of the gudha mandapa; the third, to the left of the main entrance in the east. The first of these stones near the chandrashila bore an inscription of Samvat 1647.

The fixing of the reddish yellow stones must have been in or before A.D. 1590. The edifice was then used as a temple.
