acres in extent) and valuable silver and gold jewels and vessels form the property of the
temple. An elephant also is maintained from the temple funds.
This Devasthanam is taking active steps to spread Bhakti among people. It often arranges
discourses on religious topics. It is also conducting Thevaram and
Thiruvachakam classes to popularize those devotional Tamil works among the people. These
instruction classes are free. Both boys and girls attend these classes and imbibe the true
