Touring as I do for more than four months a year, to covering almost all the
centres of pilgrimage from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Dwaraka to Calcutta across
both for collecting source material to my writing work and meeting book sellers for
disposing of the printed books, I have had ample opportunities of visiting hundreds of
the most ancient, divinely-consecrated, and largely visited punya kshetras and
worshipped at thousands of temples famous for luring millions of pious bhaktas and
god-intoxicated pilgrims due to the monumental records of mysterious sports
played by the Highest Omnipotent Providence, manifesting in multifarious forms of
every denomination of the celestials and bent upon snapping the bonds of illusive
MAYA, binding them ruthlessly to this sinful sorrow-laden world.
