Gitacharya
Bhagawan Krishna pronounced that the adorable must be approached with something
that is sacrosanct and auspicious. It play be any of the fourphalam, patram,
pushpam, thoyam. No matter even this may be water; but offering is a Must. It
signifies the adorers reverence for the venerable. Understand, it fetches
returns beyond expectation; for if the offered object is liked by the grahita -
receiver, his hand becomes boneless and mind unbalanced to rain boons
indiscriminately to the extent of deluging the giver with presents invaluable.
Always out of proportion in the case of divinities. Among mankind too. except
some stingy or greedy. almost all return the gesture out of proportion of the
object received. The classic example of Sudhama, the boyhood chum of sri Krishna
who offered only a few handful of parched rice but the reward he got defies
description. Not only his status was raised to that of the royalty, but the
whole village of Sudhama received bounteous
help. Examples. if culled from epics, the number exceeds hundreds.
