Language is the principal medium of communication of emotions crude or refined, and thoughts elevating or depressing. It is a gift conferred by that All-merciful Providence for the all round development of man and universe undoubtedly. It is only man, the crown of creation and measure of all things is putting it to maximum use and achieved monumental progress and bequeathed the same to his progeny,  through treatises embodying his superb attainment in the realm of literature, the standardized from of language. It is a universal phenomenon and starting with the dawn of expression and going towards eternity. It transcends barriers of space, race, and time. Whether in the East or west, great thinkers and saint-seers recorded their findings in every' sphere of human action in books, the visible manifestation of language.

But it is not alone the final, or the only vehicle of thought, or expression of emotions. Gestures, the off-spinings of thoughts and emotions too have played a great part and its heritage too is of mean distinction. What it is impossible for thought, the gesture makes it possible. Moreover, it is instant and effective. Gestures require minimum exertion for expansion. No lung power or might of vocal organs is pressed into service. Knitting of eyebrows, reddening of eyes nodding of head, shrugging of shoulders, winking of eye lashes raising of fist, fluttering of lips, dilating of nostrils touching of organs etc., have ample strength which the language takes longer duration to impress the emotion welling up in heart, or issuing out of mind. Primitive man exhausted its potentializes and made life livable, say even comfortable.
