Into
that land of Paradise, we are now entering, completing the visiting
of almost all the major pilgrimage centres of Parasurama kshetra -
Kerala, in the fifth leg of our Kshetra darsana paryatana. Here
greets us many a unique that have raised the state above many and
brought glittering glory to our Mother land. And as we move about,
we come across several unique sights such as the labouring class
mining out gold from the bowels of Mother earth, a unique of uniques
never found anywhere in our Bharatakhanda, contributing its
invaluable mighty mite to the central pool of the country's
treasure. Another distinct aspect striking our eyes is a great
number rivers like Kaveri, Kali, Gangavathi, Iravathi, Netravati,
etc. everflowing to irrigating the land throughout besides
generating hydro-electricity enough and spare to the running of its
own industries and that of the neighbour states to some
extent, while augmenting commerce and trade by the riverine
navigation, ending in creating ports such as Karwar, Kumta, Bhitkal
Malpe and Mangalore at their mouth ends.
