Attachment to persons or objects, is called love,

Understand, God's the personification of pure love
And remains ever untrained, whether you hate or love
He manifests Himself in forms and voice infinite
Only to bless us; so learn their nature definite
'Vatsalya' is the name given to love, binding parents to children
'Bhakti' it's, if Providence is brought to protect His children
'Maitri' is used for friends and like minds, when brought together
'Prema' is the right word linking man and woman for ever together
'Kama' is a base one standing for lewd sensuality with fervour
'Visvasa' represents the bond between served and the server
'Daya' reflects the tie extended for the dumb and the oppressed
'Karuna' is an all-pevasive word into which every thing is compressed
Mind you, Prema is divine and lives for the good of all
As it moulds its votary to live for altruistic ideality
It enables him to realize the much-coveted immortality
But kama living for itself brings woe to one and all
Hence consigned to hell fires sans merely for eternal torture
As such, it remains a warning to all now or in future
In fine, communion of souls is called love,
Union of bodies is lust only, but no, love.
