BOGUS
BAIRAGI
Bairagis
of good breed are an asset to the culture. By their conscious detachment from
the material world, they ascend the spirlling rings one after another and reach
the blissful sannidhi of Bhagawan for final merging with the Paramatma. During
their sojourn, they deem acquainting the common man with God's sports as their
life's mission and emancipate them through several devotional activities. They
are venerated, fed and followed with unbounded fervour. They deserve. But there
are a set of lotos-eaters, who for enjoying sumptuous hospitality, let fall by
the pious, pose as bairagis and go about mumbling a few mystifying couplets
incomprehensible to themselves for filling their bellies without straining
nerves even for a split second. The fun of it is, their passion for material
comforts and attachment to the trifles stupifiy us, yet we the God-fearing
nation accommodate and honour them. Who are at fault, read and decide now.
