AMMAVARI
TEMPLE |
|
Hence the name for this pilgrim
centre. In
the following centuries kings and devotees built grand shrines for her and it
advanced in all directions. The very same tank dug by Mahavishnu and the self -
same Suryanarayana swamy adored by Mahavishnu are now existing and receiving
worship with same ardor as Balaji an Tirumala. And no pilgrim ever goes back
without visiting this august Mother. Here is that temple, where she is
revealing in sitting posture gorgeously adored with glittering jewels. Look! how
grand the temple is and how much sculptural wealth it is possessing in its
interior and exterior. Like at Tirumala agamic Puja is offered and almost all
festivals including car festival and float festival are celebrated with
boundless spiritual fervour . And listen! on the last day of car festival costly
jewels and sarees are carried on
elephant
back and presented to her as ordained by Balaji. Lakhs of devotees from far and
near congregate on that occasion and express their devotion in several
sevakainkaryas. Does this not reflect devotees' recognition of Mothers glory and
Balaji Bhagawan's concern for her. This august Mother's Mandir is lying on the eastern
bank of Padmasarovara and there lies the Suryanarayana Shrine touching
the road. Please offer prayers to that Pratyaksha daivam and understand that he
is the visible god of effulgent light, the cause of the generation and
sustenance of the living organism including mankind. Entering the Mother's
shrine though that stately tower we see in a row three shrines. The first one
for the Mother, the second for Krishna called here by Alagia Perumal Koil and
the last one for Mradaraja.
