This worshipful statue bears resemblance to Balaji
due to its height and decoration etc. When we go round these shrines we notice a
five hooded Nagendra's granite statue close to the wall of the Mother's shrine.
After obeisance to it, for Nagaraja is he proseny of Adisesha, on which
Mahavishnu reclines.
Now
halt at Annapurneswari's shrine, a newly built shrine maintained by an able and
efficient devout; administrators. There lies to the other side Sarvasiddi
Vinayaka temple and a small Sivalayam. Another addition of Siva temple adjoining
it is also luring a steady stream of devotees. A small mini shrine for
veerabrahmaswamy lies next to it Govindharajaswamy Temple.
Actually
we have completed almost all the much venerated, perennially visited hoary
shrines except Govindaraja temple and Kodandarama temple. The temple tower of
Govindaraja Swamy shrine is an important landmark in Tirupathi town and visible
for miles around. This lofty 7 storeyed tower is higher than the Bagavan
Balaji's temple at Tirumala and its extensive lay out and spawning court yards
with
minishrines together with
carrying on nityanai mithika worship with due rituals including the periodical
festivals like Brahmotsava and float festivals are exerting a tremendous impact
on the theists. And almost all pilgrims avail the darsan of this Lord either on
their arrival, or after Tirumala trip. Can you guess why Miss. Bala Amal?"
" Because it is
at the base for holy pilgrimage, besides
enjoying the transport
facilities like rail, road and airways uncle."
