Maheswar revealed the efficacy of Panchakshari to the presumptuous MOTHER Parvati and
transformed her into the all adorable Gnana Prasunambika Devi, after chanting the sacrosanct
pranava mantra for times fifty lakhs, with rigid austerities. Blessing emancipation to scores of
illustrious celestials, like Brahma, Indra, Chandra, Surya, besides terrestrials, like Maharshi Agasthya
and celebrated devotees, like Kannappan, Jaapala, and ruling Princes like
Mrityunjaya, Rajendra, Varaguna, Padmasena and host of others, Bhagawan Paramasiva turned this land into a divya
kshetra of unparalleled fame. Due to the eternal presence of Lord Siva at the request of the
liberated, it is passed for the seat of the highest Daivam. And finally, for effecting change in the
course of Swarnamukhi by Agasthya, it acquired the name of holy thirtha of matchless spiritual
significance.
