There
is a Sivalinga outside the mandir under a tree, commemorating the entire
episode. As that immortal bhakta made monumental atmaarpana, and his ishtadaivam
blessed him with Sayujya prapti, the holy place is permeating with bhaktirasa
and radiating the fragrance of devotion perennially, the visitors feel
electrified and join hands time and again. Does not the entire episode ignite
the slumbering bhakti instincts and bring in a change in their hearts for
emulation? The visit drives home the eternal truth - formalities and traditions
are man-made, and before pure dedication they must hang their heads in
humiliation. Knowing the significance of untainted bhakti, we return, with minds
illumined, hearts overflowing with joy of seeing the scene of action of that
unadulterated bhakti.
