worship is offered to another adorable object installed below. There is an
awe-some legend circulated about this tradition. Once the priest, while offering
abhisheka accidentally touched
the Vayulinga. At once the part of the finger that touched it turned into gold,
losing its natural capacity of motion and sensation. Hence the prohibition. God
allows not discretion committed knowingly or unknowingly to His august person.
Offering soulful obeisance, with archana, abhishek and other secrosanct prayer
services, we now retreat and proceed to the rear of the garbhagriha to avail the
darsan of Mother Gnanaprasunambika in a separate shrine.
