This
Mokshapuri was variously called in each yuga, like Brahmapura in the Kritayuga,
Vishnupura in the Tretayuga; Naradapura in the Dwapara and Varaguna Pura in the
Kaliyuga. Another mysterious feature about the archamurthi that deserves mention
is the linga too has been appearing in different hues in different times, like
the golden in the Kritayuga, silvery in the Tretayuga, metallic in the
Dwaparayuga and granite in the Kaliyuga.
Enshrining
with such countless miracles and legends, the presiding deity-Sri
Kalahasteeswara is answering every genuine call of true devotees day in and
day-out, and so endeared himself as the surest refuge to the saranagathas of all
times and climes from devas to kitakas.
