ANTIQUITY
Strangely
enough, its sanctity is not confined to antiquity alone, nor did it
vanish with it in a flash, like lightning. It is continued to flow
down along with the holy Krishnaveni with an infinite number of
miracles of wide variety. In every yuga, it seems, some sport or the
other of the celestials was played here to making the flame of
religiosity ever burning. Though there are many awe-some episodes,
it is enough, if two or three are learned to get proper perspective
of its inimitable glory. As the hills are the main source: and the
starting point of its glittering past, better it is to begin with
the Indrakila Parvatha, where Arjuna scored Victory over Lord Siva,
and how he commemorated it. Knowledge of the authentic sources of
the fame of this Kshetra helps us for the full grasp and due regard.
So turn to sources before reaching the foot of the Indrakila hill.
