Hearing
the pathetic condition, Lord Maheswar thought it expedient to send
the Vysya munis back to earth to breathe life into the dead and
usher in progress to make the earthly existence, excelling the
celestial bliss. When communicated His decision, they expressed
their unwillingness with one voice - they preferred Sivasannidhya
and it was prized above kingdom. They proclaimed it with out
division of voice. Thereupon, Lord Siva exhorted them quoting the
examples of the Sun and the Moon, that selflessness should be the
guiding principle of life and that alone ensures permanent
beatitude.
Life attains perfection and entitles Sayujya Prapthi with
the performance of one's duties prescribed. Self must be
subordinated to the service. Feeling their indisposition continued,
He then assured that He would descend to earth and live with them in
the name of Nagareswar and Mother Parvathi as Vindhyavasini to
exercise round the clock vigil for their all-round progress.
Convinced and contented to live under the eternal cool shade of the
Lord's potent umbrella, they accepted. And pleased the Lord.
