The
Vysya munis descended to Bhuloka in an aerial chariot at an
enchanting spot graced by a centrally located lovely big pond of
great antiquity coupled with divinity.
The charm of its vast expanse
of crystal clear waters, enhanced by the rhythmic sounds of never
ending, rip lets, caused by gracefully
moving white swans feasted their eyes while the fragrant cool breeze
wafting from the fully blossomed lotus flowers anointed their
anointed their bodies.
At
its touch, thrills passed in their spines and made them oblivious of environs.
For, this sacred pond had a sacrosanct legend of immense divinity. It was once
the Yagnakunda created for a great yagna performed by Pulastya for the welfare
of the world. Then the Triad - Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswar entered the fire-pit
to make it auspicious.
After
completion, it was converted
into a pond with lotus creepers, each root bearing three blooms, in token of the
eternal presence of the Trimurthis. So it was infinitely sacred. Deeming its
surroundings most holy, Viswakarma built a beautiful city around it under the
advice and master plan of Brahma for their dwelling.
