thousands of luminaries-Ritwiks, Acharyas, etc., attending
and was conducted with unique pomp and splendor following to the letter of the
age old procedure. The hectic activity lasting for days consummated with the
rising from the fire-pit Mother Parvathi, who said, "My dear Kusuma Sreshti,
I am swept off my feet by your flawless life and inimitable virtuous rule, and
more so with the steadfast piety and inimitable austerity you displayed during
the conduct of this great yagna, and it has few parallels. So I am blessing you
with Santanaprapi. Take this kalpaka fruit, and it fulfils your long standing
desire on eating by your wife. And your children transcend all records with
regard to virtuous character and unprecedented Satkarmas.
And will bequeath to
posterity an inexhaustible spiritual treasure to guiding mankind
eternally". So, saying she disappeared much to the gratification of the
assembled, when abundant Pushpa Varsha enwrapped the whole audience falling from
the blue above to the accompaniment of auspicious notes of Dhundhubi played by
Gandharvas.
