Contemporaneous
to Vasavamba's coming to age - attaining puberty, he happened to
launch into a digvijaya yatra over the upper and lowers parts
adjoining his vast empire. His ace commandership and supreme
strategic skill conquered many kingdoms in the north; several petty
feudal lords accepted his over lordship on his way with rich rewards

lily-livered monarchs shivering in shoes, sought refuge in dark
hovels; and some fake sovereigns with puffed up valour fought only

notable kingdoms, like Vangasaka, Charjanataka, Kukuru, Ayodhya,
Haridwar, Gurjara, Sabara, Pulinda, Rummi, Barbara, etc. in the
north, he turned to south and put to his sword many overweening
lords.
