At long last, he reached a little mansion
most elegantly built at the end of the fifth prakara. Lured by it
architectural beauty, he entered and was received warmly by the
people, who identified him to be the ruling emperor. No sooner did
his identity was established, news reached to Kusuma Sreshti, and
rushing to the spot with retinue, extended to the emperor a
ceremonious welcome with invaluable presents.
He pleaded him
earnestly to stay in the specially built Guest House with his
officials, making on the spot arrangements for the entire followers
in separate dwellings, appropriate to their rank and file. The
emperor highly gratified at the imperious treatment given, stayed
for one full day relaxing and learning about the prosperity of the
kingdom under the hegemony of Kusuma Sreshti.
