The beautiful spacious hall in the fore
serves several purposes, like holding religious discourses, music concerts and
marriage ceremonies. Next comes the Vasantha Mandapam, a veritable
treasure-house containing nine big size images of the most adorable goddesses,
like Kanthimathi of Tiruneveli, Parvathavardhini of Rameswaram, Meenakshi of
Madurai, Kamakshi of Kanchipuram, Akhilandeswari of Tiruvanaikkaval, Abhirami of
Tirukkadavur, Karpagambal of Mylapore, Visalakshi of Kasi and Kumari of
Kanyakumari.
They are of stucco works. These masterly painted life size images transport the
viewers to their respective sannidhis and fill the souls with their nectarine
karunakataksha.
