AMARAVATHI - BALACHAMUNDIKA DEVI AALAYAM

The Mothers' shrine though forming an integral part of the Amareswaraswamy temple, it is an independent one and located in the Mahamandapa and hence she gives darsan first on entering the temple. The august archamurthi is quite moderate in size, but the splendid art of decoration makes it extremely enchanting and raises the hands of the visitors in veneration. Huge congregations of devotees particularly women with puja materials in plates are always seen overflowing the vast area in front of the Mother's Sannidhi. Being reckoned as a Sakthi-Peetha prayer service are offered on Thursdays and Fridays with great geal.

Daily puja with elaborate rituals is offered Periodical festivals like Sarannavaratri are celebrated on a grand scab bringing bhaktas from far and near. A bath in Krishna, darsan of Amareswara and prasad from the Sakti Mata are the high benefits, devotees derive by a single visit. Hence heavy rush always.

It is linked with railways, road ways and water ways from Vijayawada.
