Later a
charming icon of Mother of about three feet in height is installed in a spacious
garbha-griha with a vast hall in front. The compound contains some more small
mini-shrines for other deities also. The original statue is set up in a small
mini-shrine. Prayers are offered to both with great devotional favour. Annual
festivals like Sarannavaratri is celebrated on a grand scale. It has introduced
the tradition of offering first puja to the newly bought auto, car, scooter,
lorry etc., and so everyday sees some vehicles being blessed by the Mother on
ritualistic worship and the pooja ensures trouble free service to the owners.
It
lies near Public School of Begampet, of Secunderabad accessible by city bus.
