THE TEMPLE:
Mother
Jnana Prasunambika's shrine lies adjacent, but faces east. It has also Mukha
mantapa and an antarla of huge dimensions. The beautiful tall image of the
Mother in standing posture exudes compassion through her broad eyes and beckons
instant veneration. She confers several boons like santana prapti, dushta
grahanivarana, together with wisdom and health on offering soulful prayer to the
Mother.
Almost
all the devotees visit the Durga shrine, Murugan and Kannappa temples built atop
the hillocks lying to the south and north of the main temple. There is a
beautiful Panchamukha linga enshrined in a small shrine a top a small hill to
the south of the main temple, which is visit-worthy.
The temple lies on the eastern bank of river Swarna mukhi and is very near to
bus stand, and at 2 km. off railway station on Tirupati-Gudur line.
