The State Government came forward to
provide certain amenities, like flight of stair and rest house on its way. Even
earlier, the Maharaj of Gondal state by name Bhagawati Singh attempted to layout
a road from the foot of the hill to the Mother's sannidhi Realising the immense
potentialities of water of the Hidumba tank, he even planned to build a sanitarium, since the water is curing tuberculosis -
kshaya disease. The Mother is
the kula daivam of many people and the household
deity of the loyal families. She rains boons on the adorers and answers every
call.
In
the month of Shravan on Amavasya day lakhs of persons visit and offer several
prayer services to the Mother. Brahmins and Kshatriyas stay in Dharmasalas for three days and conduct yagna in
addition to ritualistic puja lasting for hours. Donations and endowments are made
to this temple both by humanist public and royal families as evidence by the
Gondal Rajas endowing 125 acres of land to the temple for maintenance.
