Devi of this much hallowed temple is the house hold deity of the Travancore
rules. On all important decision making occasions, the Rajas pay visits to this
Brine to offering prayers with elaborate rituals for success in their projects.
They endowed the temple with several valuables, besides lands for maintenance.
All the members of royal family congregate here during the annual functions.
With their presence and display of colour and pegeantry it lures thousands of
people living in the neighbourhood and their lusty participation certainly turns
this kshetra into celestial city. The archmurti Bhagavathi has been showering
grace for their trouble free life. The rulers, although are Padmanabha dasas,
ruling as the Lord's deputies, adore this Mother's believing her the veratable
kalpadruma.
