Among the post-Chandella monuments, temples in decadent state deserve special mention and they occupy prominent space. Most of them tasted the fury of the Muslim fanatics and were razed to ground mercilessly. But there is one that escaped destruction and it is situated in the north west corner of Madan Sagar bank. It is dedicated to Mother goddess popularly known as Bari Chandrika mandir. She is very benign and succors assistance to all the pious devotees, regardless of religion, region, race, caste, creed and cult. She is very famous in this region and is universally worshipped with great devotional fervor. Elaborate prayers are offered everyday and every saranarthi goes home in cheerful spirits, due to Mother's bounteous grant of boons. Hence held in high esteem and is visited frequently. Annual festivals too are celebrated with great eclat and they attract huge crowds. On account of participation by all Nationals, it is a grand event and a gala festival. When several religious creeds congregate on special functions to offer worship with rituals the spectacles of Hindu glory and its catholicity transport the viewers to ethereal worlds.

It is 140 km off Mahoba of Madhya Pradesh, accessible by bus.
