BHUVANESWAR - KEDAR GOWRI MANDIR

Siva Purana eulogizes the miraculous effects of the water of this Gowri kund. It is said that if any devotee bathes in this kund for one year with sesame seeds on head beginning with the 9th day of the dark moon of any month, his desires get fulfilled and leads a blissful life. Kapila Samhita goes further and ends that a mere sipping of this water once, one is released from the cycle of births and deaths. All due to the Mother's digging with her own hands. Above all, is not association with religious sanction of any virtue or awe-some tradition through the medium of parable is the prime glory of Hindu religion? And it alone is sustaining the believers.
