  PURI - KUDAMACHANDI SHRINE

It is another indispensably visited mini - shrine enshrining the august icon of Kudama Chandi. Originally it was occupying a raised dias besides the Lord Jagannatha image it self. Due to tremendous impact of sectarianism of the builders and Vaishnava priests, she is installed here in an independent mandir. Regular ritualistic worship is offered in accordance Sakteya tenets. After first Naivedyam to the archamurthi - Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannatha, she is offered Naivadya and puja with religious fervour due. Hence, inspite of changing her seat from the sanctum sanctorum and given an exclusive mandir in the campus, she is receiving her share and held in high esteem too. Location has not affected her glory nor the demonstration of powers superb as a matter of fact. Her icon facing east is chiseled to perfection. This temple is one among five of its kind in the state. and it is in well kept condition pleasing the visitors with its beauty divinity and antiquity. It is a visit worthy temple of utmost importance.

it is lying on the road to Puri and 15 km off Bhuvarieswar, accessible by bus raises hands of the devotees in veneration at once.
