KANYAKUMARI - KUMARI AMMAN TEMPLE

Among the festivals, Navaratri and Vatsaka festival top the list. Navaratri is celebrated to commemorate the death of the demon Bana and during Vaisakha Festival lasting for 10 days, the Utsavamurthis are taken out in procession through main streets, both in morning and nights. On the ninth day, Car Festival is celebrated on a grand scale, finally. Float Festival is another star attraction which marks the conclusion of the Vaisakha festival. Devotees in several thousands lustily participate in the activities every year.
