This practice is gaining reputation for the
temple, and it is going by the name of Satyasthapana kshetra. The Mother's
miracles are many and this tops the list. Defaulters, who reform themselves by
burning their commission in the fire of repentance, they are saved, and the
Mother reward then though her miracles. And they are many. Here is an example.
Once
a poet by name Erattir praised the Mother in his song. Unfortunately there was
an error in his composition. It is-the river Pampa is separated from Penna on
the western side. In fact, it is on the eastern side it is separated. So the
critics took objection to it, slowing concrete proof of the flowing of river.
So the poet cried piteously before the Mother and confessed that he did not
utter it, and it is due to Mother Saraswati's sport who uttered thus through his
mouth. In the same night there was heavy down pour and the river Pampa flooded
the banks. And lo! it changed its course to the shock of the people, and proved
that what the poet had said was a hundred percent truth. Needless to say that the
Mother's miracle alone saved the penitent poet. So the temple which was on the
eastern side of the river is now found on the Western side. Thus her sports are
many and emancipation of Satyasandhas is as sure the sun rises in the east. The
temple is carrying on regular and periodical worship with due rituals and is
luring lakhs of devotees round the year.
