TIRUVERKKADU - KARUMARIAMMAN TEMPLE

It is believed that the Mother is dwelling here to bless people at the instance of Trimurtis. Every devotee goes home with full confidence that problems would become problems to them selves after worshipping her.

The temple is an ancient one-big and vast in dimensions with sturdy prakara and tall Rajagopuram surmounted on broad mahadwaram. There are many mini-shrines installed with adorable parivaradevathas. The granite icon of Mother in sitting posture with five headed Nagendra spreading its hood over her head is quite awe-some and raises hands in veneration. After availing darsan everyone stretches hands for vibhuti invariably as it is deemed more precious than gold.
