Located
adjacent to the famous big Lakshmi Tal, this ancient temple is exercising great
fascination over the pious bhaktas and gay tourists. It is a big well built
temple with vast courtyards, mini-shrines and high dome shaped towers. Being
dedicated to Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth its pull is infinitely great.
Merchants invariably visit seeking her boons for all round progress. When their
wishes are fulfilled, it is but natural that they endow it with valuables in the
form of jewels, vahanas etc., making it grow richer and richer day after day.
Its spick and spacn and conduct of prayer services in accordance with agama
tenets is another plus point that attracts ardent devotees regularly. It is a
much frequented shrine and its glory is gaining ascendancy to the jealousy of
other similar ones strewn across the town.
The
city is accessible by air, rail and road and tongas, autos, taxis convey the
visitors to the temple easily.
