THE GLORY OF VINAYAKA

The temple is modest in size, shape and sculptural adornments, but it has earned for itself an indelible name. It is standing out as a unique Kshetra, where Dharmadevata is holding the scales even with the abundant anugrah of that short-stature, 'pot-bellied elephant headed god, who has been receiving reverential attention and soulful prayers since he made his appearance with bleeding head injuries, caused by the crow-bar by innocent farmers, during the silt clearance operation of their well. And blessing the deserving with boons numerous, if he is satisfied with the honesty of the seekers and star-crossed humanity. So, worshipping him with pure devotion has became a MUST by one and all for auspiciousness in everything in this part of India. On account of making Dharma move on the FOURS even in this Kaliyuga through infliction of punishments proportionate to the gravity of offence, he is not only keeping the offenders in eternal scare, but making this temple as the highest seat of Judicature, from which no appeal can be made either to the mighty humans or miracle-making celestials. Hundreds of instances of instant correction and severe castigation that took place here staggers one's imagination and ignite the slumbering or wayward impulses in the listeners. Even the sophisticated and highly placed too are mortally afraid of committing mistakes, or treading the sinful path, if once they visit this holy place or learn about its awe-some history. Why, the west-faced, science intoxicated too are thoroughly convinced with the Lord's powers and are visiting the temple to tide over the difficulties caused by the bogus fellowmen.

In fine, whoever the person, or whatever the power he commands, he hesitates rather trembles at swearing false, or perpetrating any commission on others. So, one finds Here honesty amply rewarded and integrity given its due recognition and honour. Imposters and falsifiers consciously shutting their mouths come to terms, dreaded at the threatening effects of this powerful Nyayamurthi. This unique feature has elevated the divinity of this holy Kshetra, and is drawing unending streams of devotees throughout the year.

Besides, this deity is known for curing the incurable diseases of the unfortunate patients; warding off the evil forces of the possessed; blessing accident-proof life to the vehicles,, prosperous business to the merchants; distinguishing ranks to students and what not. Every affliction is given relief and so each devotee goes home: contented offering prayers to this presiding deity. Let us enter the holy temple now.
