SIDDHATEK - SIDDHI VINAYAK MANDIR

THE TEMPLE

This temple lies on the top of the hill facing north. The idol is more than three feet in height, facing north and the trunk turned right side, with Siddhi and Buddhi images seated on his laps. The icon reveals sauta aspect and raises hands of the visitors at once in due veneration. The temple is vast in dimensions and has four entrances on four sides. Its imposing height and sculptural beautification detain the visitors long. Here there is a reverent tradition in practice for greater benefit and sure liberation - devotees make Pradakshana of the sacred hill covering nearly five kilometers in distance. They undertake this ardeous one with devotion; for, it pleases the Lord and then he showers boons magnificently. This belief is gaining ascendancy and bringing instant relief. Devotion knows no bounds for expression:, nor nothing is left untouched. It is believed that if ardent prayers are offered to this Lord, no hardship of any type ever ventures nearing the devotee. It is working miracles and hence pilgrimages round the year.

It is near Boribel railway station on Dond-Sholapur metre guage fine of Central Railway, accessible by four wheelers.
