THE TEMPLE

The temple is fairly large and was rebuilt in the last quarter of eighteenth century. !t was the favorites resort of Peshwa Madhava Rao, who made frequent visits to offering prayers. He also built a beautiful palace here for his stay. It is visited by devout Maharastrians throughout the year. Having enjoyed royal patronage, it, is grand in everything and is bestowing boons to the hearts content of bhaktas.

It lies near Ioni railway station of Maharastra on the Poona Dhond line, accessible by bus.
