It
is a holy hill temple dedicated to Murugan. It is a temple with a difference.
Atop the hill, there lies this holy modern temple built in the Dravidian
architectural style, enshrining an enchanting image of Murugan. And Valli
Ammal installed in cave close by is luring a steady stream of devotees
perennially This august cave has a legend instrumental to raising the glory of
this temple to a great extent. It is the sacrosanct abode of Valli the darling-
spouse of Lord Muruga and she is said to be abiding in it for over centuries
now, even before the construction of the temple. The priest praising the glory
of this kshetra says that the Valli Ammal Sunai - water spring existing here is
very sacred and adoring to this deity confers special benefits. Regular prayers
are offered with due devotion. Annual festivals draw huge crowds.
It
