This hill-temple has been consecrated by the deep penance of a Siva
bhakta of great renown. There is a cave on the top, which with its sublime
serenity creates conditions for undisturbed mental activites and peaceful
spiritual sadhana. Lured by it, inherent potentialities, a great bhakta
propitiating Lord Siva did tapas and got liberation in a short period to his
wonderment Realising its immense spiritual wealth, pious bhaktas built a
temple and installed Subrahmanyaswamy icon of excellent craftsmanship.The temple built in the Dravidian style of architecture possesses all
parts. Daily
worship is offered and periodical festivals celebrated with great zeal. It has a
flight of 600 stairs and so the ascent is easy and pleasant.
It is on the Tirupur and Gangeyam of Tamilnadu bus route, accessible by
bus.
