Is not his compassion for the genuine penitent is also peerless? So it is no wonder that Devendra offered his lovely blossom Devayani in marriage to him.  A fitting reward! A befitting match!! And the most subtlest honour too!!! To commemorate this splendidly heroic and resplendently magnificient victory, Kandashati festival is celebrated every year in the temple on a scale unheard of in pomp and grandeur.
