Abu - Sri Raghunathji Mandir
The legendary Arbhudha kshetra is a veritable open-air museum of numerous shrinm built for
almost every faith of the principal religions of
the world. In addition to boasting of the
internationally renowned Dilwara group temples,
it contains holy shlanes for Maheswar, Devi,
Vasishta etc., Among them, Raghunathji temple
deserves space and reverent mention for
enabling the visitors to offer prayer, besides
providing lodging facilities for them.
This famous temple lies opposite the Gandhi
park. Its imposing size and huge proportions
with modern facilities and latest trends for
loading etc. lends a special charm to the locality
and it is one of the pre-eminent places of
worship. The idols of Sri Raghunathji - Sri
Rama is said to have been installed by the
celebrated Hindu saint Sri Ramananda, who
lived in the fourteenth century. His foot-prints
are carved on Guru Sikhar, another place of
interest. As it affords accommodation to
hundreds of tourists, its importance is on the
increase. People coming from distant parts of
our vast country feel relieved of lodging problem
when they enter this holy mandir.
It lies in Mt. Abu 20 Km off Ambaji, accessible
by four wheelers.
