Hari : One of
the names of Vishnu. The
second of the Hindu Trinity. Other names are Krishna, Mukunda, Maadhava, Kesava,
Naaraayana.
Himavaan : The presiding deity of the Himalaya range.
Ikshvaaku : King of the Solar race from whom the name came for the race of Solar kings.
Indra : The chief and the king of the Gods.
Indra-Astra : Missile charged with an invocation to Indra.
Jaambavaan : Leader of bears in the army of Sugreeva.
Jamadagni : A great sage, father of Parasuraama.
Jnaana : Spiritual knowledge, realisation.
Jnaani : A knower of Reality.
Kaama : Desire, usually referred to in relation to sex.
Kaamadhenu : The Divine cow of Heaven. It was born of the Ocean when the Devas and Asuras
churned it for Nectar.
Kaamavalli : A name which Soorpanakha gave to herself. |
