AUROBINDO GHOSE |
|
The police made
enquiries and found a small factory making bombs in Maniktola.
They thought that Barindra was the brain behind the plot.
So they arrested him and also Aurobindo because they suspected that he also had a hand in
it. They put Aurobindo in the Alipore jail.
In the jail Aurobindo practised intense yogic sadhana.
As a result he had a vision of Lord Krishna. As described in the Gita, everything around
him including the jailor appeared to him as Krishna.
A great lawyer and patriot, C.R. Das, defended Aurobindo in this case.
At the end of his arguments before the judge, Das said that long after Aurobindo was dead,
people would praise him as the prophet of Indian nationalism and the whole world would
revere him.
It happened exactly as he had predicted. |
