Only permit me
to live in some corner of this world, your kingdom, and I shall stay there always in fear
of your bow and arrow."
Withdrawing his bow, the compassionate king said, "All right, you may stay; but you
can live only in certain places I mention.
They are: the gambling dens, drinking bars, houses of ill-fame and slaughter houses."
Kali said, "Please give me some more places to live."
Parikshit said, "You may also live where there is gold, untruth, pride, lust, envy
and enmity."
From that time Kali continues to live in those places even today. |
