EAST AND WEST, WHERE IS THE BOUNDARY?
Naturally it is hard to understand foreign cultures, just as the sounds of a foreign language will not at first make sense. It is easier to see the faults rather than the merits in one's neighbors. If we look to the difference we will find them but if we look to the unity that is also there. It depends on where we place our attention and what we value in life.

Our real goal as a species should be to create a common spiritual and sacred culture which is beyond mere geographical divisions, whatever they me be. "All the world is one family," is a great statement from the Vedic tradition, which tradition therefore belongs to all of us. The challenge today is to create a global culture.
This is to recognize our common human heritage in all culture and to anchor that culture to spiritual values, the pursuit of Self-realization as the real goal of humanity.
