Haste
ends in waste. Hasty man never reaps the full benefit of his action. Commissions
galore permeate the field of his action, and at every step worry peeps in and
robs the joy of achievement. Exceptions are not barred here also. If it is kept
at beck and call, success itself seeks and showers bliss. It has no reservations
and so applicable to all classes of people.
One
glaring example of haste resulting in breaking centuries old traditions comes to
light at Belur Chennakesava Swamy temple. Exotic circumstances led to the
casting off the masterly sculptured archamurti and' substituted it by another
brought from afar to maintain fair sanctity and retain auspiciousness of the
time. This commission enabled a much neglected and unreasonably ostracized
community to enjoy special privileges, which they would not dream in their
hundred janmas to speak the truth.
