CALCUTTA - KALIMA'S PREFERENCE FOR NARABALI

They all descended to that nefarious level at the promise of bright prospects envisaged by those devatas. Though modern times have pushed them into dark hovels, here and there, some vestiges of their infamous activities are seen. The practice of witch craft and sorcery are not completely uprooted. They are being carried on in a clandestine manner by duping the gullible unlettered people in the rural areas. Towns and cities are not free from their shadow. But scared by the long hand of law, they are withdrawing from the open and public appearance.

There are now some temples built exclusively to warding off the victims of witch-craft etc., and the deities adored are relieving the evil effects in a miraculous way. The Bhagawati of the much hallowed Chottanikara temple in Kerala is a sure refuge for the sufferers of witchcraft. In many places of worship too,  here and there the innocent preys of the diabolical forces are cured. All but due to the benevolent, benign, ever cooling Karunakataksha of the highest Srimurti-Omkaraswaroopini Adiparasakthi. In her magnificent, munificent, majestic aspect, she is receiving satwika worship and raining boons always. And out of proportion too. The Calcutta Kalima was the tight grip of expert Sakteyas, well versed in the tantric lore, who made the temple as the head quarters of their devilish activities. In the dim past only. Narabali was rampant and the life of innocent was in perpetual fright.
